Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Pre-K to 5th Grade: Dig-in Sunday School

Dig-in Sunday School is offered every Sunday morning from 9:15-10:15. At Dig-in Sunday School, kids play games, create cool crafts, sing songs, watch puppet shows and learn a story from the Bible. Dig-in Sunday School is like a mini VBS each week! Come to the lower level commons area to learn about Jesus and make new friends!

Middle School Grade: Checkpoints Bible Study

Checkpoints Bible Study is for middle schoolers who have big and small questions about their faith. They use Bibles, catechisms, concordances, and more to find out the answers to their questions, and grow more confident in their ability to use the Bible. Checkpoints Bible Study meets at 9:15 am in the lower level.

Base Camp (3rd-5th Grade)

Base Camp happens on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 pm during the school year. It is designer to be less school-like and more interactive with hands-on learning! Games, art, and small group discussions are some of the tools that we use in a fun way! Youth engage the big picture of the Bible (Genesis through Revelation) one of the two years, and the second year they begin to study Luther’s Small Catechism. During 5th grade, they prepare for first Communion, and those who are members of Peace (or who would like to become members) experience it during Holy Week. This completes Base Camps which equips them for the Journey ahead!

Journey

Beginning in 6th grade, youth begin their Journey! Journey is our new youth group experience, and youth are encouraged to bring their friends. Some will choose to use it also for their Confirmation instruction. While Journey is designed to last throughout a youth’s high school career, Confirmation requirements can be fulfilled much earlier. As with any youth group experience, Journey includes games, personal time with God, and time to talk and work with friends each week.

CrossRoads

CrossRoads is currently the name of our high school youth ministry, but as our Journey youth group expands, it will be the name for the Sunday morning Bible study only. Currently CrossRoads meets both on Sunday mornings for Bible study and Wednesday evenings for youth group. High school is a very important, pivotal time for a Christian youth to stay connected to God’s Word and with other believers their age. CrossRoads provides opportunities for both.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a week of summer fun, music, crafts, friends, and most importantly, learning about Jesus! All children Pre-K through those going into 6th grade are welcome to attend!
